Some quality death metal drummin’. The live show definitely sounds less loud from behind the drum set, in my expert opinion.
Two examples of web-related hip-hop videos. One’s a CLASSIC from back in the day (2006? 2007, maybe?), and one’s more recent (December 2010):

It’s a weird thing, these keyboards in metal. But I think it’s good, overall. These keyboards provide variety.
Here are a few of my favorite metal bands that include teh keyboards in one way or another:
Holy crap, was popular television keyboard music really this nice in the 80′s? I guess so.

As some of you know, I’ve spent the past week or so totally jamming out to the samples/mixes/mashups of Girl Talk. Anyone who mixes hip-hop beats/lyrics with riffs from bands like The Pixies, The Rentals, The Breeders, and so forth (including a sweet mix of what sounds like Yo-Yo Correction: It’s actually Lil Mama rapping over the sweet double-bass part of Metallica’s epic “One”) is a good artist in my book. This is some total hipster shit.
I usually get totally obsessed over one artist for a while and totally burn myself out on them after a month or so. It’s happened with HORSE the Band, Genghis Tron, and now Girl Talk. And I have a feeling Lil’ Wayne may be next…
Yes, I am a total girl.
Anywayz, after downloading Girl Talk’s “Night Ripper” album from illegal art and jamming out on it for a few tracks, I saw similarities between his album cover and the cover art of Mercyful Fate’s “Melissa”. Nothing too obvious, but I found it interesting enough to post on my blog for future reference, mm-hmm.
