Two Drawings in Red, Black, and Blue
August 18, 2007
These are all acrylic on cardboard and painted for Kevin Kooyman’s Panel Project.
I didn’t get these to him on time, but check out the rest of his Panel Project at this year’s Iowa State Fair.
These two small paintings (acrylic on paper) have hung on my walls for the past 5 years or so:
Torso-Head
Skull in a Suit
This YouTube video (backflips, frontflips, 20ft jumps and more crazy stunts!!! [URL broke]) is an excellent refutation to those who think humans have not evolved from monkeys, and is also a crazy glimpse of how we might evolve back to monkeys if/when our desk job society crumbles.
Learning how to fall is something I’ve never learned, so I appreciate the landings here!
And here are two more drawings:
Flowery Organ
Flowery Skull
Wow, I’m listening to the early Entombed album, Left Hand Path and it’s excellently amazing me how much Mortification’s Scrolls of the Megilloth gained from this band.
As an atheist, I try not to talk about christian death metal much, but I fail on occasion.
Anyway, here are two drawings:
Man, Skull, and Bird
Bright Eyes
I just drew this one with the black, blue, and red pens my sisters gave me. I really like these pens.
Here are images of my June Mars Cafe show in Des Moines, Iowa.
Especially for Matt!
Both paintings are 36×48 inches, acrylic on canvas.
Here are some mostly-completed paintings.
There are some cat paws on the lower right. They belong to Oscar the cat.
Angel in Hell (Just Visiting)
Non-Spinning Top
Post-Accident Arm
Globule
Prince in Flight
